Best AI product demo video tools for SaaS in 2026: interactive demos, recorders and generators
By the Voom team Published Updated 12 min read
The best AI product demo tool depends on the demo. For a click-through demo that buyers explore, use Arcade, Supademo or Storylane. For a narrated video of your real product, record it with Clueso, Trupeer, Screen Studio or Descript. For a quick personal walkthrough, use Loom. Voom fits when you want a short demo film without recording anything.
Which kind of product demo do you need?
A product demo shows a buyer your product doing its job. In 2026 it comes in three formats, and the tools below each make one of them well. Decide the format first and the shortlist halves.
- An interactive demo is a clickable copy of your product’s screens. The buyer steps through it at their own pace, usually inside an embed on your site. Arcade, Supademo and Storylane make these.
- A recorded walkthrough video is a screen recording, cleaned up and narrated. AI tools now zoom on your clicks, rewrite your script and replace your voice. Clueso, Trupeer, Screen Studio, Descript and Loom make these.
- A generated demo film is a short designed video built from your product page and screenshots, with no recording at all. Voom makes these.
The question that decides it: does the buyer need to see the real clicks, or understand what the product does for them? Clicks call for a recording or an interactive demo. Understanding, in 45 to 90 seconds on a landing page or in a launch post, is where a designed film can do the job. Our guide to making a product demo video covers the structure that works in any format.
The nine product demo tools compared
Voom publishes this guide, and Voom is one of the nine tools. Every price below comes from the tool’s own pricing page, read on 3 November 2026, in US dollars before tax. “Billed yearly” is the monthly price when you pay for a year up front.
| Tool | What you get | Entry paid plan | Free plan | Best for | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Arcade | Interactive click-through demo; MP4 and GIF export on Growth | Growth: $50 a month per seat, $42.50 billed yearly | 1 published demo, watermark, no MP4 export | Marketing demos embedded on your site | Per-seat pricing; AI video is a separate plan |
| Supademo | Interactive demos and screen recordings, MP4 up to 4K | Scale: $50 a month per creator, $38 billed yearly | 5 demos; MP4 up to 1080p with watermark | A low-cost paid plan with translation into 50+ languages | HTML demos start on Business, $199 a month billed yearly |
| Storylane | Interactive demos; HTML capture from Growth | Starter: $50 a month, $40 billed yearly, 1 seat | 1 live demo, Storylane branding, no video export | Sales teams that will grow into HTML demos and CRM data | The next plan, Growth, is $625 a month ($500 billed yearly) |
| Clueso | Voiced MP4 tutorials and articles from a screen recording | Solo: $50 a month, $40 billed yearly | 10 minutes of exports a month, 1080p, watermark | Turning rough recordings into polished narrated videos | Export minutes are metered: 15 a month on monthly Solo |
| Trupeer | Voiced MP4 and a written guide from a browser recording | Pro: $49 a month, $40 billed yearly | 1,000 credits, 5-minute recordings, watermark | Quick browser walkthroughs turned into narrated videos | Recordings capped at 10 minutes on Pro; translation starts on Scale |
| Screen Studio | Auto-zoomed MP4 or GIF screen recording, up to 4K at 60 fps | $29 a month, or $9 a month billed yearly | None shown on its site | Mac users who record their own product | macOS only; no AI voice-over |
| Descript | Text-based video editor with screen recorder, AI voices and dubbing | Hobbyist: $24 a month, $16 billed yearly | 60 media minutes a month, 720p, watermark | Editing a demo as if it were a document | You still do the editing; priced per person |
| Loom | Screen and camera video shared by link | Business: $18 per user a month ($15 billed yearly) | 25 videos of up to 5 minutes, 720p | A personal walkthrough for one prospect | No AI narration; free videos keep Loom branding |
| Voom | Designed demo film with voice-over and music, from your link and screenshots | Pro: $29 a month for 560 credits | One film up to 30 seconds, faint watermark | A short demo film for a landing page or launch, with no recording | No live clicks, no interactive demo, no timeline editor |
Bottom line: if buyers need to click through the product, buy an interactive demo tool. If they need to watch it work, record it with Clueso, Trupeer or Screen Studio. If you need a short film that explains the product on a landing page this week, without recording, Voom is built for that.
What does one demo cost on each tool?
The monthly fee buys different things. Interactive demo tools charge per seat and let that seat publish as many demos as the plan allows, so the cost per demo falls as you make more. Recording tools such as Screen Studio, Descript and Loom charge a flat fee; the real cost is the hour you spend recording and editing. Two tools meter the video itself, and so does Voom.
| Tool and plan | What the plan includes | Cost of one minute of finished video |
|---|---|---|
| Clueso Solo, monthly | $50 for 15 minutes of exports a month | about $3.33 (Estimate: $50 ÷ 15) |
| Clueso Solo, yearly | $480 a year for 3 hours of exports | about $2.67 (Estimate: $480 ÷ 180 minutes) |
| Trupeer Pro, monthly | $49 for 2,000 credits; AI video uses 100 credits a minute | about $2.45 (Estimate: $49 ÷ 20 minutes) |
| Voom Pro | $29 for 560 credits; a 60-second film uses 17 | about $0.88 for the whole 60-second film |
How we estimated. Clueso’s and Trupeer’s figures divide the plan’s price by the minutes of video it allows, from their pricing pages. Clueso’s yearly Solo plan is $40 a month, so $480 a year. Voom’s figure is exact: a film costs 8 credits plus 9 a minute, rounded up, and Pro’s credit costs $29 ÷ 560 (Voom pricing). The minutes are not like for like. Clueso and Trupeer polish a recording of your real product, while Voom designs a film around your screenshots.
The nine tools, one by one
Arcade
Arcade sells itself as interactive demo software for marketing teams. You record with a Chrome extension, a desktop app for macOS or Windows, or a Figma plugin, and Arcade turns the capture into a guided walkthrough with hotspots, chapters and an AI voice-over, which is on the free plan. Growth, at $50 a month per seat ($42.50 billed yearly), adds MP4 and GIF export, branding, translation and branching.
Falls short: the free plan keeps Arcade’s watermark and cannot export video. Arcade also sells AI video as a separate product with its own credits (Pro from $49 a month billed yearly), so a demo subscription does not include it. Safari and native browser elements such as file pickers cannot be captured.
Supademo
Supademo makes interactive demos and screen recordings on the same plan, which makes it the most flexible entry plan here. Scale costs $50 a month per creator, or $38 billed yearly, and adds AI voice-over, translation of on-screen text into more than 50 languages and voice-over into more than 25, according to its AI page. Paid plans have a 14-day trial with no card.
Falls short: HTML demos, where buyers click a working copy of your interface, start on Business at $199 a month billed yearly. Voice cloning is on Growth. The free plan’s MP4 exports carry a watermark.
Storylane
Storylane is built for sales-led SaaS: personalised demo links, lead capture and CRM data. Starter costs $50 a month, or $40 billed yearly, with one seat and unlimited published demos; it also includes 20 minutes a month of AI video avatars, and voices in more than 27 languages.
Falls short: the step up is steep. Growth, which adds HTML demos, costs $625 a month ($500 billed yearly), and multi-language demos need Premium at $1,500 a month ($1,200 billed yearly). The free plan allows one live demo and no video export.
Clueso
Clueso turns a screen recording, a slide deck or a document into a polished MP4 with an AI voice-over, zooms, captions and translation, plus a written help article from the same capture. Solo costs $50 a month or $40 billed yearly, with exports up to 2K and no watermark.
Falls short: export time is metered: 15 minutes a month on monthly Solo, or 3 hours a year on yearly billing. When you reach the cap, exports pause until renewal. Its marketing pages promise translation into more than 150 languages while its help centre lists 41, so check your language before you buy.
Trupeer
Trupeer records a browser tab, window or screen and returns a narrated MP4 and a step-by-step document. Pro costs $49 a month or $40 billed yearly, with 2,000 AI credits a month, watermark-free exports and recordings of up to 10 minutes.
Falls short: AI video uses 100 credits a minute, so Pro makes about 20 minutes a month, and unused credits do not roll over. Translation starts on Scale at $199 a month billed yearly. Trupeer’s own pages disagree on how many languages it covers (20+, 100+ and 120+ on three pages).
Screen Studio
Screen Studio is a macOS recorder that makes a plain screen capture look produced: it zooms on your clicks, smooths the cursor and adds motion blur, then exports MP4 up to 4K at 60 fps or a looping GIF. It costs $29 a month, or $9 a month billed yearly, with every feature on both plans.
Falls short: it runs only on macOS, and its site says there are no near-future plans for Windows. It has no AI voice-over, script or translation: you narrate it yourself. Its site shows no free plan or trial.
Descript
Descript edits video by editing the transcript, and it includes a screen recorder, AI voices, voice clones and dubbing into 30 languages. Hobbyist costs $24 a month or $16 billed yearly, with 10 media hours a month and 1080p export.
Falls short: Descript gives you an editor, not a finished demo, so the structure and timing are still your work. It is priced per person, and the free plan exports at 720p with a watermark. Its recorder cannot capture 4K on Windows.
Loom
Loom is the fastest way to send a prospect a personal walkthrough in your own voice: record your screen and camera, share a link. Business costs $18 per user a month ($15 billed yearly) and removes the 5-minute and 720p limits of the free plan.
Falls short: Loom’s AI writes titles, summaries and chapters and removes filler words, but it does not narrate or produce the demo for you. It suits a one-to-one walkthrough better than a demo on your home page.
Voom
Voom makes the third format: a designed demo film. You write one sentence, paste your product link and add up to 20 screenshots; Voom reads the page, writes the script, records a voice-over in one of 20 voices, animates your real screens as motion graphics, writes an original score and renders an MP4 in 16:9, 9:16, 1:1 or 4:5. A 45-second film uses 15 credits, about $0.78 on the $29 Pro plan, and the first film, up to 30 seconds, is free.
Falls short: Voom never records your product, so it cannot show a real workflow click by click, and buyers cannot explore it like an interactive demo. Its films top out at 90 seconds on Pro and 3 minutes on Business. There is no timeline: to change a film you make a variation from a new brief. The app tells you a film usually takes 25 to 30 minutes.
Also considered: Guidde makes step-by-step how-to videos for training and support teams. Its AI voice starts on Business at $39 per creator a month billed yearly, and it suits documentation more than marketing demos, so we left it out of the table.
Which demo tool should you choose?
Match the tool to where the demo will live and what it must prove.
- A demo on your pricing or home page that buyers explore: Supademo if budget matters, Arcade if marketing owns the demo, Storylane if sales needs HTML demos and CRM data.
- A tutorial or onboarding video of the real product: Clueso or Trupeer if you want AI to narrate and translate it; Screen Studio if you work on a Mac and will narrate yourself.
- A one-to-one walkthrough for a prospect: Loom.
- A short film for your landing page, a launch post or a feature announcement, made this week without recording: Voom. See the product demo video page for the film below and its exact prompt, or the changelog video and developer tool explainer pages for related jobs.
Many SaaS teams end up with two: a designed film that earns the click, then an interactive demo or a recording that answers “how does it work”. To make the film from your site, see product link to video; to compare tools that start from a link, read product URL to video tools.
Common mistakes with product demo videos
- Recording before you have a story. A demo that tours every menu loses the viewer. Write the one job the demo will show, then record only that.
- Choosing a Mac-only tool for a Windows team. Screen Studio runs only on macOS; Descript, Loom, Arcade and Supademo have Windows apps.
- Ignoring metered exports. Clueso and Trupeer cap the minutes you can export each month. A team that re-exports every revision reaches the cap fast.
- Paying per seat for people who only watch. Arcade, Supademo and Storylane charge per creator; Supademo includes 5 view-only collaborators on Scale.
- Showing numbers the product does not have. On a generated film, check every figure on screen against your page. Voom only states figures its sources state, but you should still read the finished film.
How we chose and checked these tools
We picked the tools that AI assistants and buyers’ guides name most for SaaS demo queries, then grouped them by the format they make. Every price, limit and feature comes from the tool’s own pricing page, help centre or feature page, read on 3 November 2026 and listed under Sources. Clueso’s monthly prices and Loom’s yearly prices were read from data on their pricing pages rather than the visible text.
We did not make a demo on every tool, so this guide describes what each product is built to do and what its plans include, not how its output looked to us. Where a page did not say something, we say so. Voom is our product; it gets one category in this guide because it makes only one of the three formats. If a price has changed, tell us through the contact page and we will correct it.
Making a demo film with Voom
The film below is Voom’s own 45-second demo, made with Voom from a one-sentence prompt and the real app’s screens. It opens on the problem (“Launch week. The site’s done… and the film isn’t.”), then shows the product step by step.
- Write what the demo should show and who it is for, in one or two sentences.
- Paste your product link and add the screenshots you want on screen.
- Choose the size, the length (up to 90 seconds on Pro) and a voice, with captions on or off.
- Download the MP4 and put it at the top of your landing page, then link your interactive demo or tutorial underneath.
Your first film, up to 30 seconds, is free. For more on how the films are made, read our guide to AI motion graphics or try the AI motion graphics generator. Weighing Voom against one tool? Read Voom against Pexo, Fliki, HeyGen, Synthesia, Vyond, Powtoon or Motion.

Launch week. The site's done… and the film isn't. So we made Voom. One sentence, or one link, becomes a finished film. Type what you want, paste your link, press Generate. That's the brief. Voom reads your page and keeps your colors, your type, your logo. No preset themes. Every film gets a design made just for it. Then a voice, twenty to choose from, in more than twenty languages, and an original score. Wide, tall or square. And there it is, ready. Your first film is free.
Frequently asked questions
It depends on the format you need. Arcade, Supademo and Storylane make interactive demos that buyers click through on your site. Clueso and Trupeer turn a screen recording into a narrated video with an AI voice. Screen Studio polishes your own recordings automatically on a Mac. Voom makes a short designed demo film from your product link and screenshots, with no recording at all.
An interactive demo is a clickable copy of your product's screens that a buyer steps through at their own pace, usually embedded on your site. A demo video plays from start to finish, with a voice-over, and works anywhere a video works: a landing page, YouTube, a launch post or an email. Many SaaS teams use both: the video to earn interest, the interactive demo to let buyers explore.
Several have free plans with limits. Supademo's free plan makes 5 interactive demos and exports MP4 up to 1080p with a watermark. Clueso's free plan exports 10 minutes of video a month with a watermark. Loom's free plan records 25 videos of up to 5 minutes at 720p. Descript's free plan exports at 720p with a watermark. Voom's Free plan makes one film of up to 30 seconds with a faint watermark.
Yes, from screenshots and a product link. Voom reads your product page, takes up to 20 images such as app screenshots, and builds a narrated motion graphics film around them, with music and captions. The trade is that the screens move as designed stills, not as a live recording, so it suits a launch or landing page demo better than a click-by-click tutorial.
Keep a landing page demo to one job shown end to end, which usually fits in about a minute. Tutorials and onboarding videos can run longer, because the viewer already wants to learn the product. Recording tools set their own caps: Trupeer's Pro plan records up to 10 minutes and Loom's free plan up to 5. Voom's Pro plan makes films of up to 90 seconds.
